To keep up with the mangas progress, add me to your devwatch!UpdateHey everyone!
I've been kinda bummed out lately due to a sudden drop in motivation and inspiration, and thus, have not drawn a lot regarding my manga. Don't worry I'm not giving up, I'm just having one of those weeks where your brain refuses to let you cheer yourself up, (Which I'm usually very good at xD) gaaah! Stupid grey matter!
I'm trying hard to make Atlas's friends and PK buddies unique and quirky, it's much harder than expected...I've been thinking that maybe I should get some help from a proficient story writer, anyone got any suggestions?
Well. Back to it.
Take care y'all
Story (Will be updated regularly) Atlas and his friends live in a strict society, one of many laws and rules, these rules of course are in place for the good of the people, but not everyone is happy with them. Curfews are strictly enforced with anyone breaking them detained and
rehabilitated. People are always monitored and surveyed with cameras, tapped telephones, all for the sake of Public Protection. Most people are not bothered by the strict regime but there are some people who see differently, see past the fake facade of the society and see the corruption.
Atlas is one of those people.
Atlas is a 19 year old student, in his final year of college. Tired and fed up with the system of laws and rules he acts out in any way possible without exposing himself, he scrawls graffiti and messages across building walls with his friends, covers the surveillance cameras with black tape (his favourite disruptive pastime) and runs about making noise during curfew getting the night watch guards to chase him into traps and pranks set up by him and his group of friends.
Atlas and his friends are hanging out in one of their safe spots one day, an area where surveillance cant see them, when Atlas notices a group of people running and jumping around on top of his college, intrigued Atlas goes to see what theyre up to.
Atlas is amazed by the skill and prowess of the teenagers, they run, jump and flow over the obstacles they laid out with incredible ease and grace. Atlas asks what they are doing and the group tell Atlas about Parkour, a discipline and way of life that originated from France, they tell him the philosophy behind it and how it came round to the UK.
The leader of the group explains to that he has been watching Atlas and his friends; hes impressed by Atlass and his friends desire to rebel and break free of the systems control. He takes Atlas and his friends to a remote and derelict building on the outskirts of the city; Atlas is confused as there is nothing there. The leader goes to a small metal cover on the floor and yanks it up; he climbs in and asks them to follow. Under the building they discover that the traceurs have made their own makeshift gym with various training equipment.
The Parkour group take Atlas and his friends in and teach them the way of Parkour. It is here that Atlass life changes.
Forever.
Feeback, input, crits are all welcome!
